Abstract: The role of artificial intelligence (AI) in personalized learning in vocational education is increasingly significant, offering tailored educational experiences that cater to individual student needs, learning paces, and skill levels. This study investigates the impact of AI-driven personalized learning systems on student engagement, academic performance, and skill acquisition in vocational education. The objectives of this research are: (1) to evaluate how AI can customize learning experiences based on individual student profiles, (2) to analyze the effects of personalized AI interventions on student learning outcomes, and (3) to assess educator perceptions of AI integration in vocational training. A survey research design is utilized, justified by the need to collect diverse perspectives from students, educators, and administrators on the effectiveness of AI in vocational education. The sample size comprises 350 participants selected through purposive sampling to ensure representation of key stakeholders involved in AI-driven personalized learning initiatives. The case study focuses on vocational training institutions in Lagos State, known for their adoption of technological innovations in education. Findings indicated that AI personalized learning significantly enhanced student engagement and academic performance, with notable improvements in skill acquisition tailored to individual learning needs. Educators reported positive attitudes towards AI, recognizing its potential to support differentiated instruction and address diverse learner requirements. Recommendations include expanding AI integration in vocational curricula, providing professional development for educators on AI tools, and ensuring robust data privacy measures to safeguard student information.
